I was born in Chicago in 1942. I have one bother, Hal, and two children, Alicia and Sarah. My wife Susan and I have been married for 19 years. I graduated from Northwestern University with a degree in mathematics in 1964. I went on for a Masters of Divinity degree in 1967 and Masters in Clinical Social Work in 1970. I have two board certified credentials in Clinical Social Work. I also am certified in EMDR (eye movement desensitization and reprocessing: developed by Francine Shapiro.
